Wood Buffalo Clothing, where the spirit of the rugged Wood Buffalo region inspires every piece of clothing we make. Our founder, Andrew Slocombe, turned his passion for sustainable fashion into reality by creating clothing that does more than just look good, it does good.
Andrew’s journey to founding Wood Buffalo Clothing Company wasn’t a conventional one. With years in the industrial sector, he saw firsthand the hidden costs of production, on people and the planet. After losing his parents to illnesses linked to industrial environmental toxins, the impact became deeply personal. It was a turning point. Determined to be part of the solution, he shifted gears from heavy machinery to something different but just as powerful, sustainable clothing, with a purpose.
Every piece we make has a story, one that starts with respect for people and the planet. We use organic materials and responsible manufacturing methods, reducing water use, choosing eco-friendly dyes, and cutting out unnecessary waste. It’s all about doing better for the Earth.
Transparency matters to us. From the cotton farmers to the factory workers, we make sure everyone involved in crafting your jeans is treated fairly. Safe workspaces, fair wages, and mutual respect aren’t optional; they’re the foundation of what we do. For us, it’s about more than just making great denim, it’s about building a community and doing business the right way.
We know talk is easy, but we mean it. If you ever want to hear firsthand why this matters so much, just ask Andrew, he’ll gladly share the story behind our mission. At the core of our brand is a simple belief: fashion should be fair, and every pair of jeans should make a positive impact.
